| The infamous floods and fires of 1997 ruined most of this quiet city. Looks like a war zone huh? |

Call it a work in progress. Grand Forks was built where the railroad crossed the Red River, and for no other reason. In the opinion of TripleM, it is a terrible place to live. It's flatter than words can describe, there are no wooded areas, and in winter the temps drop well into the negatives. And from an exploration standpoint, nothing can be built underground because of the river; at least nothing like the vast expanses of subterranean real estate which lie beneath St. Paul, Minnesota.
However, the region is peppered with abandoned stuff. Thank the floods and fires for this, and thank TripleM for volunteering his time to infiltrate the side of Grand Forks one wouldn't otherwise have a chance to see.
